Coffee & Cortisol.

I know, it sounds nerdy…but that because it kind of is! The most common time to drink coffee is first thing in the morning. Almost everyone does it, right? Well, did you know that there is actually an ideal time to maximize its effectiveness?

Studies show that it's best to delay your coffee intake for about 60-90 minutes from waking up to get the most out of it and to minimize the potential crash.

This has to do with the cortisol levels in your body. If you take your coffee too early, it could disrupt the flow of your natural cortisol. (Cortisol is a hormone that can enhance alertness and focus. It also regulates metabolism, immune system response, and blood pressure).
